campaigning in the by election

William Hill bookmakers have made the Liberal Democrats in Leicester South favourites to win the by election next week (15th July).

And the odds on the Lib Dems in Birmingham Hodge Hill , where another by election takes place on the same day, are narrowing too.

Liberal Democrats in Liverpool have been helping out at both by elections.

Says Garston Parliamentary spokesperson, Paula Keaveney:

" We are finding more and more that people are giving up on Labour and coming across to the Lib Dems. The atmosphere at these by elections feels very much like that at Brent East, where many of us helped last year".
