Twenty percent up for Lib Dem Campaigners

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 8th Jul 2005

Lib Dem Campaigners over the boder in Halton achieved an increase of nearly twenty percent in the Castlefields by election this week (July 7th)

The by election was caused by the enforced resignation of a Labour Councillor.

Labour held the seat in the election, but the big swing to the Lib Dems shows this is no longer a safe ward for Labour.

Garston Lib Dems congratulate colleagues in Halton and look forward to more success in next years local elections.
