Airport survey launched

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 10th Sep 2006

Liberal Democrats in Speke have launched a survey of people in the area to get their views on the planned expansion of Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The survey asks for views on a range of issues, including the impact of the plans on the environment and traffic and the possibility of new jobs being created.

Says Lib Dem Councillor Paula Keaveney: " The airport launched a consultation to get residents views, but as councillors we were concerned that people may have missed out on some of the information. We launched our own survey to collect views to help us better represent what local people actually think"

People receiving forms can send them back to the FREEPOST address on the form. People are also however welcome to give their views by letter or by using the comment facility on this website.
