Representatives from Woolton Village will later this week hear whether they have won Gold in the national Britain in Bloom contest.

The announcement will be made at an awards ceremony in Chester on Wednesday (24th September). Woolton is again representing the North West in the national finals.

Last year the village won the Silver Gilt award and organisers are hoping that 2008 will see them go one better.
