Cressington ward on-line forum

12.00.00am GMT Fri 15th Jan 2010

An on-line forum for residents of Cressington ward, and organisations involved in the ward, is taking place this month (January).

The idea is an experiment to see if this gives local people a good way of raising issues and having discussions with all sorts of local representatives.

The scheme was dreamt up after complaints that too often people could not get to meetings on particular days and felt they were missing the chance to be part of a discussion. The idea is for on line fora to add to the other ways residents have of getting and keeping in touch.

To take part in the forum,or just to read the discussion, residents can log on to

www.liverpoolfirst.org.uk.

They then need to create an account which can be done easily by clicking on the button on the left of the screen.

The forum organisers plan to keep it live for the rest of January.
